I love prehistoric sealife like trilobites, amonites etc... and I also think it's neat that some aquatic life hasn't changed much in a million years. So when Christmas came along and I wanted to paint something for Temple's father, she told me that his favorite fish was the Sturgeon and that when she was a kid he caught one and she thought it was a Sea Monster. I think they are awesome looking and it was some fun painting this ancient fish. Maybe in the future I'll paint more prehistoric sealife, stuff that is extinct or undiscovered?

I used the salt on wet paint technique again to create that cloudy girtty water in the background and I used a pallete knife to paint in the dark rocks.
